Wildwood offers a world of natural beauty, a sanctuary created for birds and animals and those guests who choose to make Wildwood their own.

An absolute celebration of the Australian environment, Wildwood is set on 150 acres of classic bushland and is built from the rammed earth on which it resides. This is the Eurunderee area of Mudgee that Henry Lawson loved so much, and referred to in his poems: 'where the brooding old ridge rises up to the breeze; And dark lonely gullies of stringy bark trees'.

A modern interpretation of a country homestead, and separate from Anne and Rob's own house, Wildwood features four suites, each with French doors opening onto the wide veranda. The cypress and iron bark pitched ceilings radiate warmth from the wood fire in the lounge, while the whole house has a stylish mix of art, and Australian and English antique heirlooms.

Comprising four bedrooms - one king, two doubles and one room with twin beds. Each bedroom has private facilities and French doors opening onto broad verandahs. Fine damask bed linen, white fluffy towels and beautiful soap for your pleasure.

There is a formal dining room, spacious lounge and sunroom with a grand timbered umbrella ceiling and a kitchen with genuine country ambience.

Breakfast is a spread of fresh fruit with yoghurt and cereal, maybe some poached quinces or seasonal fruit followed by bacon and free range eggs with tomatoes and basil or smoked salmon with creamy scrambled eggs.

From the kitchen, we invite you to help yourself to the fresh ground coffee and teas. If you don¹t feel like venturing out to one of the great local restaurants ask about the chef, who will come in and create a meal just for you. Three delicious courses with a complimentary bottle of Mudgee wine, followed by coffee and chocolates (additional charge).

Enjoy walking in the valley - we have 150 acres for you to wander - let our labrador Henry show you around. Some people come by car, some by plane, some by helicopter. There are those who visit for the wine, for the countryside, visit family and friends, or just passing through - but all leave more relaxed!

At no extra cost , for groups, we can organise a private wine tasting from one of the local wineries.

Group dinner parties are a specialty at Wildwood, with a chef coming in to prepare everything there's also the option of a guest wine maker attending, and private wine tastings of local wines can be arranged. Then there's Wildwood's annual 'night of Jazz under the stars'. Whatever you want, Wildwood is a wonderful Mudgee experience and is perfect for couples, or for groups wanting to book the entire guesthouse.
