Paperbark Camp is a luxurious camping experience in a tranquil bush setting close to unspoiled beaches and national parks at Jervis Bay, just 2.5 hours south of Sydney.

Located on the banks of the Currambene Creek, Jervis Bay, Paperbark Camp is ideal for those who love being close to nature, but appreciate life’s little luxuries, not to mention wonderful food prepared daily by the camps chefs using local produce.

Could there be anything more romantic than waking to the sounds of the bush, sun streaming through stands of tall paperbarks, with the gentle folds of canvas overhead' Paperbark Camp offers the chance to experience the essence of Australia in safari-style tents, and a touch of Aussie bush heritage with a dash of style inspired by Africa's wilderness camps.

On the banks of the Currambene Creek, just up-stream of Huskisson on Jervis Bay, Paperbark Camp is the inspiration of hosts Irena and Jeremy Hutchings. Each tent is elevated on its own platform nestled among the paperbarks, providing a sturdy haven of simple luxury. Solar powered and with its own ensuite, each tent captures the gentle breezes flowing between the trees.

Accommodation consists of ten elevated tents that have their own open-air ensuite bathroom, queen size beds, luxury 100% cotton linen and towels, locally made furniture as well as a wrap around verandah for sitting and enjoying the sounds of the bush. The ‘Gunyah’ provides a central communal area for eating and relaxing with outside dining on the verandah during the warmer months, and in the colder months an open fire creates a cosy atmosphere for reading, playing games or sharing travel adventures with other guests.

The tents are built off the ground on a wooden platform with wraparound balcony providing a peaceful place to read a book and listen to the sounds of the bush. Solar power provides 12V lighting, guests are welcome to use the mains power in the Gunyah for charging batteries etc. The tents have netting for protection against insects and are furnished with a mixture of contemporary & bush furniture as well as 100% cotton luxury linen. Torches and insect repellent are provided for guests convenience.
